Changing the nation. One note at a time.
Peer-to-peer discussion to restore our economy, balance our budget & reject bloated government.
Under my plan… electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”
- Senator Barack Obama, January 2008
The Idea
Recognizing a problem
We all know gas prices are rising. We feel its sting each time we fill up our cars.
But as we go about our daily lives, it’s easy to forget just how drastic that rise has been.
HelloVoter wants you to write notes to remind voters where we were when President Obama was elected, when we were promised “Hope & Change”.
Did anyone think “Hope” would be so expensive? Did anyone think “Change” meant $4 a gallon gasoline?
Pass Notes
Friendly reminders
Each time a voter fills up their gas tank, let’s remind them just how drastically prices have risen during Obama’s presidency.
When Obama was inaugurated as President, the national average for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline was $1.78.
Write that on a post-it. Stick it on the gas pump each time you fill up your tank. Remind a fellow voter what Obama’s “Change” really means.
