- User-Submitted Photography

Any photographs you submit to HelloVoter.com still belong to you.

However, by submitting photographs to HelloVoter.com – either via email, twitter, or text message – you hereby grant Heather Lawver & HelloVoter.com an unrestricted license to publish, reproduce, modify, & distribute copies of your photographic works indefinitely in any way we deem appropriate for the express purpose of furthering our stated cause.

If at any time after submitting a photo you would like HelloVoter.com to stop using your work, please contact Heather Lawver via email. Be sure to include a copy of the original photograph for comparative purposes, a rough estimate of when you originally submitted the photo, & how it was submitted (email/twitter/text). Ms. Lawver will then do her best to track down your photograph & remove it from our database.

Any personal identifying information associated with the submission of your photograph will NOT be used for any other purposes than to properly credit your photo/note to you. Your information will NOT be sold. It will NOT be used for advertising purposes. Your information will NOT be stored in any sort of database, beyond the usual archiving in our email inbox.
The only time we may contact you is to let you know that we received your photo. Beyond that, we will not use your information for any other purpose.

If you do not wish to have your name posted with your photo, simply tell us so when you submit your photo. We will respect your wishes.
We still ask that you at least include a first name & last initial, so that if you ever contact us in the future in regard to your photo, we’ll be better able to track down your original photo submission. If you still don’t wish to use your name, we’ll understand.

By submitting photographs, you hereby express understanding & agreement with these terms.

HelloVoter.com reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. If the terms are amended, an announcement will be posted on the official HelloVoter blog.

All comments posted to this site are moderated prior to publication. Comments are published at the sole discretion of the site owner.

Comments that contain overtly inflammatory, racist or threatening language, as determined by the site owner, will be deleted. Individuals who publish such inflammatory or threatening comments may also be blocked from commenting in the future.

Comments that simply post disagreement with the opinions posted on the site will not be deleted, so long as the comments are presented in a civil, respectful manner. The author of this site has tried her best to present her opinions in a respectful, kind, tolerant, respectful manner. We simply ask that you do the same. If you do, your comments will be approved by the moderator.

Please don’t expect your comment to be approved immediately. As this site is maintained by only one individual, there are no guarantees as to the timeliness of comment moderation. Please be assured the site owner is making their best attempt to moderate comments as quickly as possible.

This site was built upon a pre-existing commercial WordPress template created by IvyStudio.it. IvyStudio is not in any way associated with this website or its cause. They’re probably not even aware of it. My paid use of their WordPress foundation does not in any way represent an endorsement on their part of my opinions or my efforts.

The beautiful background image was provided by David Torno of MacTex. He kindly provides beautiful high resolution photographs free of charge. He’s also most likely unaware of this project, but he certainly deserves credit for his gorgeous macro photography. Thank you, Mr. Torno!
